disasters, difficulties & setbacks: FIP – to be or not to be? How the importance of a correct diagnosis has changed, and possible treatment options available. Presented is a cat diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) that did not stick to the rules. Based on this interesting case we will shortly discuss the classical clinical signs of FIP, and then focus on the atypical presentations. Our main interest will be on clinical signs that usually do not prompt suspicion of FIP. In addition, a general guideline for verifying the diagnosis of FIP will be given.
